SUU Music Center Stained Glass Window

For more than 85 years, the Cedar City 2nd/8th Ward Chapel stood at the corner of 200 S and 200 W. One distinguishing feature of this building was a gorgeous, stained-glass window created by Frank Adams depicting the Great White Throne of Zion National Park. Over time, weathering and wear took its toll on the building, and it was demolished in February of 2013. At that time, the window was carefully packed up and stored in the basement of State Bank of Southern Utah, awaiting a new home.

Now, a decade later, we have the opportunity to breathe new life into this beloved piece of art. Our vision is to meticulously restore this stained-glass window and install it as a focal point in the lobby of SUU’s new Music Center, set to break ground on April 25th.

The project cost is approximately $100,000. Our goal is to raise $50,000 and the remainder will be matched by the State of Utah. Your generous tax-deductible contribution, no matter the size, will play an integral role in bringing this vision to fruition. Gifts of $100 or more will be acknowledged on a special donor wall installed next to the glass thanking the community for its support.
