These past few years have presented us with unforeseen challenges. As we have navigated issues associated with Covid-19, flooding, housing insecurity, and now the financial pressures associated with inflation, we have renewed the spirit of our founders and have answered the call to go “back up the mountain!” T-Bird Nation has responded with acts of service, spreading the message of the needs of our students, and generous contributions. But our work still isn't done! Working together we can continue to strengthen our University’s hallmarks of personalized learning and student success while maintaining our status as a premier university in the Intermountain West.
As you can see in our video, gifts supporting scholarship funds, dean funds, and chair funds are life-changing to our students. Financial support can make a huge difference in students' ability to attend SUU and focus on and enhance their studies. Our diverse student body includes many students who are the first in their families to attend college. Supporting our students is not an expenditure -- it is an investment that goes on to affect our communities and the generations that follow.
In honor of our 125th anniversary, we are asking our T-Bird Nation to embody the spirit of our founders. EVERY man, woman, and child in the small Cedar City community of 1,500 played a part in answering the call to build Old Main, and we are now asking YOU to answer the call. Imagine what we can do as T-Bird Nation has now swelled to over 60,000!
As a loyal T-Bird we are asking you to answer the call to go "back up the mountain" with an end of the year contribution to an area of SUU that you feel passionate about supporting. Whether it is supporting your college, or an area you feel needs the most support, every contribution counts! We are asking all of T-Bird Nation to help us reach our goal of 1,250 gifts to commemorate our 125th anniversary. A contribution of ANY size will bring us one step closer to reaching our goal. Please join your fellow T-Birds in answering the call to go "back up the mountain!"
